Davie Allen, 67, Dies Following Two-Vehicle Collision at Zion, Illinois, Intersection
Davie Allen, 67, of Zion, died following a collision involving a gold Chevrolet Uplander minivan and a black Audi S5 on Friday evening, October 16, 2026.
Zion police and fire rescue crews responded at approximately 6:43 p.m. to Green Bay Road and Stonebridge Drive after receiving reports of a crash with injuries.
Preliminary information indicates that the Audi traveled north on Green Bay Road as Allen’s minivan began turning from Stonebridge Drive toward southbound Green Bay Road, and the vehicles collided.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office identified Allen on Wednesday, October 21, and preliminary autopsy findings attributed the death to severe head and neck injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities reported that Allen was ejected from the minivan during the collision.
Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
